Swarm Season News

Honey bees swarm to reduce overcrowding in their hives and to increase their numbers in nature. It is a natural survival tool that usually occurs in the Spring and early Summer. A honey bee swarm sometimes will "park" on a fence or tree limb while the scout bees locate their next home.

Usually, the swarm will leave the area in 1-3 days. If they stay longer, you may want to contact a beekeeper to remove them so they do not rehome somewhere they are unwanted.
